Paddy O'Brien National Heritage Fellowship Nomination
The Twin Cities Irish Music & Dance Association is also spearheading
the efforts to nominate Paddy O' Brien for a traditional arts Heritage
Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Through this
program, a number of individuals are recognized each year for their
lifetime achievement in the traditional arts. Previous Irish music
honorees include Mike Rafferty, Liz Carroll, Kevin Burke, and Jack
Coen, among others. The IMDA is spreading the word and collecting letters from people who
know and have worked with Paddy, spelling out the various reasons that
he deserves national recognition. Anyone who might feel inclined to
